So you decided to read a little about me…well where do I begin? I think it’s quite simple, I am a free spirit on an adventure called life. I don’t like conventional methods of operating, life is too short for that. I live to live outside my comfort zone and explore opportunities that were once denied to me. I think it is because I was raised in a very strict, no pants, no tv, no make up, Pentecostal home. Life wasn’t bad, it was just very sheltered, monitored and strictly about church and salvation. I appreciate my parents for raising me that way, it has made me who I am today. My faith is still strong but I realize that there is more to life than what I was once told.
As an adult I have held every job title from waitress, bartender, hip hop dancer, promo model, manager, teacher, coach, speaker to CEO of two small businesses. I have experienced pain and love, sometimes simultaneously, joys and sorrows and realized that this is a part of life. My journey has been full of twists and turns but I have learned that there is light at the end of every tunnel if you believe and continue to move forward.
This blog is dedicated to women around the world that have stories to tell that need to be heard. I will interview women who inspire me, move me and who have some great stories that need to be told. I want to share laughter and pain, failures and successes, love and heartbreak. Stories that will have you thinking twice about this thing called life. I will uncover some of my own, expressions of life, from pain to glory, from broke to stable, from long hair to almost bald, from fear to fearless, from unemployed to managing 2 jobs, and everything in between. Sit back, grab some tea and let’s talk about the Expressions of Life.
